Youth and Family Services

Building a Brighter Future for Children, Youth, and Families

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, heal, and thrive. As the need for youth behavioral health services continues to rise across Clallam County, Peninsula Behavioral Health is taking a bold step to meet that need.
Our planned Youth & Family Services Center will be a dedicated, state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for children, adolescents, and families. This transformational project will expand access to behavioral health care, create a welcoming environment for healing, and ensure that local families can receive the services they need close to home.

Meeting a Critical Community Need

Behavioral health challenges among children and teens have increased dramatically in recent years. Families often face long wait times, limited local resources, and the need to travel outside the county for specialized care.
The Youth & Family Services Center will help address these challenges by bringing a comprehensive range of services together under one roof, making it easier for children and families to access the support they need.

A Place Designed for Healing

Unlike traditional healthcare settings, the Youth & Family Services Center will be thoughtfully designed to help children and families feel safe, comfortable, and supported.
The approximately 15,000-square-foot, three-story facility will include:
  • Child and adolescent therapy offices
  • Family counseling rooms
  • Group therapy spaces
  • Play therapy rooms
  • A sensory room
  • An art therapy and activity room
  • A family gathering space
  • Community meeting and education room
  • Outdoor play and recreation areas
  • Staff collaboration and consultation spaces
Every aspect of the building is being designed with trauma-informed principles to create an environment that promotes healing, resilience, and hope.

Comprehensive Services

The Youth & Family Services Center will expand access to a wide range of services, including:
  • Individual therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Child and adolescent psychiatric services
  • Intensive community-based behavioral health services (WISe)
  • Care coordination and case management
  • Peer support services
  • Parent education and support
  • School and community partnerships
  • Crisis prevention and intervention
  • Evidence-based treatment programs
The center is also being designed to support future specialty programs, including expanded autism services, eating disorder treatment, and other emerging community needs.

Investing in the Future

The Youth & Family Services Center represents one of the most significant investments in youth behavioral health ever made in Clallam County.

By expanding services today, we’re helping ensure that children and families can receive care earlier, strengthen family relationships, reduce behavioral health crises, and build healthier futures for generations to come.
